Theart object occupies a singular place among collectors and art enthusiasts. It is neither entirely pictorial, nor purely decorative: it stands at the crossroads of utility, aesthetics and experience. It is a work of art, generally conceived in volume. It must be able to be presented or used. It can question our uses, our senses and our relationship to aesthetics. It's a unique object that can be displayed at home or in an art gallery.
At the Galerie le Containertheart object is approached as a form of expression in its own right. Each piece exhibited, whether functional or not, tells a story. Glass, metal, ceramics, wood, plastic and composite materials are all areas of experimentation for contemporary artists, who use these media to question our everyday lives.
By exhibiting these objects in a setting dedicated tocontemporary art and street art, La Galerie le Container makes these creations part of a global artistic approach that is bold, sensitive and accessible.

Since its move to Aix-en-Provence, the Galerie Le Container has been developing a program focused on contemporary creation and street art in all its forms: painting, sculpture, photography, contemporary drawings... but also objets d'art. What sets it apart is its willingness to broaden exhibition formats. We strive to include works that question the object in its use, and in its beauty.
Some of the objects presented are one-offs, while others are designed in limited series. They may be small formats, suspended modules, hybrid volumes or diverted materials.
Here, theart object is not just a decorative accessory. It is an actor in the space, a fragment of reflection, and an art form in its own right.
The art objects on display at the gallery come to life in the worlds of several artists. Some, like François Belfreeze exploded, fragmented and suspended objects in synthetic crystal. His work is a reflection on time, memory and the captured moment. Some of his works are produced in series. They can be exhibited by professionals, companies, private individuals or in galleries.
Other artists, such as Lise Gonthieruse glass to play with light, producing works on the borderline between painting, installation and design object. Her "light paintings" are delicate objets d'art, made of transparent superimpositions, elusive shapes and neutral colors.

More and more, objets d'art are finding their place in private and professional interiors. They interact with architectural materials, and contribute to the personality of a place. They are much appreciated by art lovers, as they tell a different story from that of a painting or sculpture. They integrate more freely into any space. They help set the tone of a decoration or the mood of a place.
That's why La Galerie le Container also supports professionals wishing to integrate art into their environment with corporate art leasing.
