François Bel "traps" his decomposed objects in acrylic glass. This technique enables him to stop movement, freeze time and capture space. In this way, the artist gives us the sensation and illusion that time has been "crystallized" in order to satisfy our utopian dream of stopping it for even a few seconds. His works prompt us to reflect on society's ills, its anger, its doubts, but also its many questions about time and its movement in a society where everything goes faster and faster, and where man controls many things. These little "Big Bangs" are influenced by the Dada movement, Duchamps' Ready Made, the Nouveau Réalisme of César and Arman, and Pop Art, and each sculpture raises questions through undeniable aestheticism and mastery.
