Genesis
A contemporary & urban art gallery like no other
A contemporary art gallery born in 2016 in shipping containers, Galerie Le Container was originally a concept imagined by Déborah Bosseaux and Clément Dorance, contemporary art enthusiasts and professionals. Over a period of 3 years, it travelled from city to city, introducing street art to amateurs and novices alike. The interior of the containers, transformed into a contemporary art gallery, houses an exhibition of unique and original works. The outside walls of the containers are gradually covered with graffiti, tags, collages and stencils by the artists on display. Each exhibition becomes an architectural and monumental work of art in the heart of the city.

In 2019, the gallery grows and settles first in Nice before moving to the heart of the historic center of Aix-en-Provence, rue Granet. As for the containers, they will occasionally return to meet the public for off-site exhibitions.

Artistic Selection
Big names and emerging artists
The artistic selection features some twenty artists from the urban and contemporary movements. Galerie Le Container aims to promote both major international names and talented young artists. Each artist stands out for the singularity of his or her style, message or technical level.
Deborah Bosseaux
After studying art history, Déborah first worked in a national museum in Paris for 2 years. She then spent 4 years as Artistic Director of a network of international art galleries, before taking charge of a traditional art gallery specializing in Street Art. In addition to her professional experience, she has lived in England and South America.
The Founders
Clément Dorance
Clément studied architecture and international business. He worked in international marketing and communications (USA, Belgium, Monaco) before stumbling upon the world of contemporary art... a revelation! He joined the team in charge of international development for a network of art galleries, notably in the United States, Asia and the Middle East.
