Perhaps it's because Barbara Schaumann is a passionate dancer that the colors seem to dance in her works. Juxtaposed, they make the canvas vibrate and give movement to a rather static setting. They counterbalance the calm of a cocoon overlooking the sea. Rhythm and energy emanate from her interiors, with their sometimes dreamlike architecture.
