The Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition *Le temps àartwork*. An encounter between two artists whose practice is rooted in slowness, repetitive gestures, and patient materials.
On one hand, there is Lise Gonthier, whose “light paintings” made of fused glass already feature in the collections of several museums. Trained at CERFAV and based in the Gard region, she works with hand-blown glass, sculpting each piece, sawing it, polishing it, and assembling it: a work composed like a painting, permeated by light and abstract forms of rare sensuality.
On the other hand, there is Yanis Miltgen. This 25-year-old sculptor from Luxembourg, who serves as the official embroiderer to the British Crown, creates works that blend embroidery, artistic knitting, and sculpture. Each piece requires months of work—up to 1,500 hours and 100,000 beads—and yet what strikes you first is their lightness. His sculptures, made of thread and aluminum, seem to breathe, blending into the space as if they were born of it.
Lise blends, Yanis weaves. She works with transparency; he works with thread. Together, they create a unique dialogue centered on time as a raw material: the time required by the arts and crafts, the time embedded in every gesture, every bead, every shard of glass.
