The kaleidoscope, that small object within which shapes can be infinitely constructed and deconstructed, has been raising philosophical and sociological questions for centuries.
He cuts, fragments and, always with the same elements, represents a different perspective. Each shape contributes to a new vision, just by changing place. So it's not an element in itself that defines reality, but a whole.
Like a kaleidoscope, Aurore Michel-Grégoire deconstructs and breaks down her subjects. She questions reality by fragmenting forms and characters, then reconstructing them in her own way.
By bringing them together, she takes the opportunity to question our society. She highlights one part rather than another, one attribute, one color.
His works propose their own combination, their own structure. A whole as geometric as it is poetic, where figuration can fade away to make way for emotion.
