Mad C, born Claudia Walde in 1980, is a German grafitti artist. She started to mark the streets with her graffitis in her teens. She is the creator of the famous "700-Wall", which stretches along a railway line between Berlin and Halle, and which has brought her international fame. She distinguishes herself from the graffiti culture by her very personal compositions. With transparency, her warm, brightly coloured artworks range in with dynamic and abstract compositions.
Mad C is now one of the few women recognised in the street art movement.
Mad C, née Claudia Walde, est une artiste graffiti allemande. Elle commence à marquer les rues de ses graffitis dès son adolescence. À l’origine du célèbre “700-Wall” qui s’étend le long d’une ligne ferroviaire reliant Berlin et Halle et lui offre une renommée internationale, elle se démarque de la culture du graffiti par des compositions très personnelles. Tout en transparence, ses œuvres aux couleurs vives et chaudes se déclinent avec des compositions dynamiques et abstraites.
Mad C compte aujourd’hui parmi les rares femmes reconnues dans le mouvement street art.
